I think it’s fair to say that the insurance sector, is still trying to come to terms with coronavirus.
Insurance is all about risk and is usually based upon years worth of data. Right now, we are facing a situation where many people have possibly had coronavirus and we don’t really know what that could mean to a person’s health in the future.
Insurers are bound to be a bit cautious of what all this could mean and be thinking about how to look at the potential risks.
I am a big believer that working together is the way forward. A big part of my PhD was focused upon how business working together, sharing ideas, identifying barriers and looking for opportunities, is key to success.
My latest comments on my hopes for the future of the insurance sector are with the Financial Times Adviser here.
