This past month I have mixed up the topics on the podcast, bringing an occupation into the mix. We are also having a deep dive into ovarian cancer and life insurance.

When you want to get insurance there can often look like that there are two many options to choose from and where on earth do you start? I’m here to break it down for you.

We’re now completely back into the swing of things and started the year as we mean to go on.

There is quite a lot to know about how this type of insurance mixes with pilots. British Friendly are currently the stand out insurer for most pilots that we do arrange cover for, as the quality of their contract and the price are the best.

Each insurer in the UK has a slightly different critical illness policy and all of them are great for different people, in different circumstances. Things like your age, smoker status, BMI, medical history, travel, work and hobbies can all play a huge part in which critical illness policy will be right for you.

We have had a good mix of insurance discussions this past month, looking at technical parts of life insurance and having a special guest join us to talk about mental health and life insurance.

Some insurers will be great at accepting life insurance application for people that have mental health conditions, others could be so so. These so so ones could be amazing at accepting life insurance applications from someone that’s had breast cancer, but then be so so for someone that has a high BMI.
