Parasailing & Life Insurance
Parasailing almost feels like a holiday must do and I’m quite tempted to do it myself.
Life insurance for parasailers will typically be available at standard terms with most UK insurers.
We will ask you for the following questions to help us find the right insurer for you:
- How often are you parasailing?
- Are you doing this in the UK or abroad?
- Are you taking part in any competitions?
One-off holiday experiences are very unlikely to affect the terms that you are offered for life insurance. But if you are taking part in any competitions or travelling regularly abroad, then it’s important to research the right insurer for you.
Our expert advisers will find the best life insurance policy to protect you.
Parasailing & Critical Illness Cover
Critical illness cover pays out a cash lump sum of money, if you are diagnosed with a medical condition that is listed in the insurer’s claims set e.g. cancer, heart attack, stroke.
Parasailers critical illness cover is generally available at standard terms. This is most likely if you’re not doing it very often.
If you are parasailing regularly or you are taking part in any kind of particularly high risk activities, the insurer might want to know a bit more about what you are doing. This could potentially lead to non-standard terms for critical illness cover being offered.
Our award winning advisers are here to find the right critical illness policy for you.
Parasailing & Income Protection
Income protection pays you a replacement of your monthly income, if you are unable to work due to ill health.
Income protection for parasailers may be available at ordinary rates. This really comes down to how often you are parasailing and choosing an insurer that is quite happy with this sport.
The policies available to you could be affected by any injuries that you have had in the past. You often find with income protection that previous breaks or sprains, can lead to exclusions being added to your policy. This generally comes down to how long ago you had the injury and if you are fully recovered.
Our advisers are here to give you a clear breakdown of the best income protection to give you the peace of mind that comes with this policy.

Common Questions
Hi, it depends. When you set up your insurance if you had no intention at the time to go parasailing then you don’t need to tell your insurer. If you are about to set up something like life insurance now, it’s just important to make sure that you answers the questions openly and honestly. Parasailing on holiday is not likely to affect the terms that you are offered.
