Roofers & Life Insurance
When you are applying for life insurance working at heights usually comes up in the question set. That’s not to say that working at heights is automatically seen as bad by insurers, but it’s really important to pick an insurer that matches your work.
To find the right life insurance for you our advisers will ask you:
- What height do you usually work at?
- What is the maximum height that you will work at?
- How often do you work at this maximum height?
Life insurance for roofers who work below 40 feet (12 metres) is often offered at normal terms with most insurers. This means not increase to the policy premiums and no exclusions.
If the normal height you work at is over 40 feet then you can find that some insurers will increase the cost of your life insurance.
Our expert advisers are here to find the best life insurance to match your needs.
Roofers & Critical Illness Cover
Critical illness cover pays out a cash lump sum of money, if you are diagnosed with a medical condition that is listed in the insurer’s claims set e.g. cancer, heart attack, stroke.
Critical illness cover for roofers is often available at normal terms. This is most likely if you work below 40 feet.
If you regularly work at heights over 40 feet then some insurers might offer you critical illness cover at non-standard terms. This is usually an increase to the policy premiums.
Our advisers will find you the best insurer to support your work so that you can get critical illness cover that suits you.
Roofers & Income Protection
Income protection pays you a replacement of your monthly income, if you are unable to work due to ill health.
Roofers income protection is normally available with quite a few insurers. There are some insurers that are really good at offering income protection to blue collar workers and we know who they are.
When you apply for income protection the insurer will ask you about any health conditions that you have, and anything that you have experienced in the last couple of years. They will be quite interested in any health condition that has stopped you working in the past.
Our award winning advisers will find the right insurer to match your work, so that you can have the peace of mind that comes with income protection.
