Gymnasts & Life Insurance
As a gymnast, you’ll know what it means to maintain a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise and being careful with what you eat. Keeping yourself fit puts you in a favourable position when it comes to life insurance, as many insurers value good health.
When applying for life insurance, you’ll likely find that most UK insurers will offer you standard terms. However, there are a few questions that we’ll need to ask you:
- What is your height and weight?
- Do you take part in professional competitions?
- Do you do gymnastics in the UK and abroad?
As you will be focused on maintaining a healthy body, you should have access to a wide range of insurers. While the basic elements of life insurance are similar across insurance providers, there are often some unique features that can make a significant difference on which insurer will be right for you.
Our advisers are ready to help you in finding the right insurer that matches your specific needs, ensuring you get the best possible terms.
Gymnasts & Critical Illness Cover
Critical illness cover pays out a cash lump sum of money, if you are diagnosed with a medical condition that is listed in the insurer’s claims set e.g. cancer, heart attack, stroke.
Many of the insurance providers will offer standard terms for critical illness cover, if you don’t have any health conditions that may affect the cover. This means that you should get critical illness cover at the normal price and without any exclusions due to your involvement in gymnastics.
Get in touch with our advisers who will be able to advise you on the best provider and critical illness cover policy for your needs.
Gymnasts & Income Protection
Income protection pays you a replacement of your monthly income, if you are unable to work due to ill health.
Gymnasts should be able to get income protection at standard terms, as long as you haven’t had any injuries recently. When insurers ask about sports in income protection applications, gymnastics doesn’t usually come up on their list of need-to-know sports. Unless of course you are doing some form of extreme gymnastics!
You can find that insurers will sometimes put in place exclusions on pre-existing conditions. If you have had any muscle strain, sprains, torn ligaments or breaks in the last few years, it is possible that an insurer might exclude claims relating to that part of your body. These exclusions can potentially be reviewable or only last for a set period of time, depending upon the insurer that you use and having the ability to speak with their underwriters, this is where we stand out.
Our advisers can help find you the best policy for your circumstances.
Gymnastics & Health Living Insurance
There are some insurance policies that allow you to earn rewards and reduce your policy premium, if you are fit an active.
Being a runner is a perfect match to the way that the insurer monitors your fitness levels, so that you can access these benefits.
