CuraVision ABCs Tachycardia – Video Transcript
Hi, and welcome to episode V of the CuraVision ABC series.
So, today I’m going to talk to you about Vincent. He’s a gentleman who came to us in his late 40s, he was a smoker, his BMI was fine, he was employed full time and Vincent had come to us because he wasn’t sure where to look for some protection insurance. He wanted some life insurance in place to provide his partner with some cover for funeral expenses, the essentials in the event that he were to die.
So, the reason that Vincent came to us is because three years prior to speaking with us, he had been diagnosed with ventricular tachycardia. So, obviously kind of his heart rate would change a bit when it flare up, the condition, his BP would go higher and he was on daily medication to control the condition and his symptoms but there’d been no light headedness, no fainting, no need for surgery, he just basically had the condition and was living his life as normal.
So, for Vincent, we decided that we would look at a number of different options and it was established that a whole of life insurance policy wasn’t affordable for him or his partner in the long term. So, together we decided that a good option would be to put in place a level life insurance policy of £10,000 that would run until the age 70.
Now, because of his health, Vincent wasn’t able to access life insurance at what is known as the standard or normal premiums. There was a slight premium increase due to his health but I am pleased to say that we got him the level life insurance of £10,000 for around £6 per month.
In this video I talk to you about Vincent, who came to us having been diagnosed with supra ventricular tachycardia. He wanted to arrange some life insurance to cover any funeral expenses that his parter may have in the event of his death, and they were working to a tight budget.
