Aviva are taking notice of industry charges and client needs, which has resulted in the review and update of their current Critical Illness Cover. New customers applying for Critical Illness policies will now benefit from the enhanced heart attack definition provided by the cover.
It has previously been the norm that heart attacks must be evidenced to be of a certain severity before a Critical Illness claim will be considered. Now any diagnosis of a heart attack, regardless of severity, will be claimable under new Aviva Critical Illness guidelines.
Considering that heart attacks are the second most common claim type with Aviva it is clearly a worthwhile move for customers.
The Aviva Critical Illness contract offers one of the highest amounts of claimable conditions on the market. Out of the 57 conditions covered, 18 exceed the Association of British Insurers code of best practice for insurance policies. The enhanced ABI conditions include but are not limited to heart attack, cancer, stroke and multiple sclerosis.
The Critical Illness Cover also includes one of the highest and longest offers of protection for your children, with a maximum payment of £25,000 or 50% of the sum assured (whichever is lower) until your child reaches age 21.
Aviva have responded quickly to industry changes by being one of the first insurers to improve their heart attack claim definition. Such a quick response shows that Aviva are a company who are keeping an eye on their competitors and taking clear steps to provide their customers with the best insurance available.
We use a range of providers/insurance companies and their products may be more suitable for your needs.
