We were treated to a jam packed morning of presentations, panel discussions and award announcements, at Protection Reviews annual conference and awards ceremony on Thursday 9th December.

Cura’s Alan Knowles took to the virtual stage for the first session, “Personalisation of Protection” with Roger Edwards. He ended his segment with a short poem taken from a 1720 playing card, which we just have to share:

“Come all ye Gen’rous Husbands, with your Wives.
Insure round sums, on your precious lives.
That to your comfort, when you’re Dead & Rotten.
Your Widows may be Rich when you’re forgotten.”

Awards were announced throughout the morning and we were delighted to have won Protection Intermediary of the Year, followed by an individual award for Alan of Protection Adviser of the Year. We were delighted to see that Executive Assistant Victoria Thirlwell was recognised for all her hard work with a Highly Commended in the Unsung Hero category.

A highlight was the comedy sketch that provided more than a few laughs from the Quietroom! It really is a must watch.
